Information we collect

When you create an account, request service, or book a plumber through PlumberFinder, we may collect:

• Account details such as name, email address, and phone number
• Service location, postal code, and job description
• Booking, quote, payment, and communication history within the platform
• Device and usage data needed to operate the app securely

How we use information

• Match customers with independent plumbing businesses
• Process bookings, payments, receipts, and support requests
• Send transactional notifications about jobs, quotes, and appointments
• Improve marketplace safety, fraud prevention, and service quality
• Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations

Payment processing

Payments are processed by Stripe. PlumberFinder does not store full card numbers on our servers. Stripe handles payment credentials according to its own privacy policy and PCI requirements.

Sharing with service providers

We share information only as needed to operate the marketplace — for example with payment processors, email delivery providers, hosting infrastructure, and the independent plumber you choose to book. We do not sell personal information.

Retention

We retain account and transaction records for as long as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, meet legal requirements, and maintain financial records.

Your choices

You may update profile information in the app and manage notification preferences where available. To request access, correction, or deletion of personal information, contact support@plumberfinder.ca.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
